Asia Mixed Team Championship is going to start tomorrow i.e. on 14th February 2017 but with a bad news. Champions PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal are not going to take part in it. Earlier names of both PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal were there in the Indian squad for the Asian Mixed Team Championships. It has been said that because of the heavy schedule in the near future, including All England Championships next month, names of both of them are pulled out. Now, India’s chance on men’s singles depends on HS Prannoy and Sameer Verma.
Tanvi Lad and newly crowned national winner and Polish Open Winner Rituparna Das will be taking place of PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal for Women events.
“The absence of PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal will obviously affect our chances but I think it’s a great chance for youngsters to prove themselves” said HS Prannoy, who recently won the swiss open.
Whereas, Rio olympian B Sumeeth Reddy & Manu Attri and young teenage pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy & Chirag Shetty will be featuring men’s doubles event.
We wish good luck to all the players who are going to represent India in Asia Mixed Team Championship, It would have been great if PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal took part in it but it doesn’t matter as we trust other players as well. We know they will win.
