P. Gopichand or we say Pullela Gopichand is the coach of badminton star P.V. Sindhu. P. Gopichand is a former Indian badminton player. Currently, he is the chief national coach for Indian Badminton team. He is the one who trained stars like P.V. Sindhu and Saina Nehwal.

P. Gopichand was born on 16 November 1973 to Pulella Subhash Chandra and Subbaravamma at Nagaland, Prakasam District , Andhra Pradesh. Earlier he was into cricket but later on his brothers advice he switch onto badminton. He did his schooling from St. Paul’s High School, Hyderguda, Hyderabad. Later he joined A.V. College, Hyderabad and graduated in public administration.
P. Gopichandan is considered as one of the finest badminton player. He became the second Indian to win All England Open Badminton Championship after Prakash Padukone in 2001. He also received the Arjuna Award in 1999, the Dronacharya Award in 2009 and Padma Bhushan in 2014. He is also running Gopichand Academy which he founded after retiring his playing career in 2008. This academy produced several badminton players including Saina Nehwal, P.V. Sindhu, Parupalli Kashyap, Srikanth Kidambi, Arundati Pantawane, Gurusai Dutt and Arun Vishnu.
Gopichand was the main reason behind the success of the P.V. Sindhu because without the teacher student is nothing. Equal efforts of P. Gopichand and P.V. Sindhu made it possible to achieve this medal for the country. We wish that he keep on succeeding in his life and have students like this which make him and there country proud.
